The timing on this pin is now taking a deeper meaning. You see, up until yesterday, I had 3 boys and 1 little girl Pomeranian. My little girl died yesterday, in my arms, at 4 am. It's been horrible. It was so sudden. When I took her to the emergency, they told me it was a massive coronary (brought on by the heat). She couldn't breathe well, the doctor said though she was in my air conditioned home!). She was a rescue, three legs, creamy white. She must have been about 8 years old when I adopted her three years ago, and in my heart I truly believe that had I not adopted her, she would have died. You see, she was staying in a "home" that took only big rescue dogs. They had tried to keep her as long as they could, but desperately needed to find her a home where she could feel safe. At the time I rescued her, she weighed three pounds wet and had very scrawny hair. She was in such bad shape! Probably because by the time she got to the food bowl, all the pit bulls, german shepherds, etc. had already eaten the food and left none for her! I guess I have to take comfort in knowing that the last three years she had with me were probably the best she'd ever known. I miss her so, she was my little angel. As I sit here at work writing this, the tears are coming back and I have to stop. Anyway, just as your handwork reminds you of your Old Pepe, my new pin will always remind my of my Mint Julep. I will treasure it always. Thank you again. - MARTIE

I received the pins today; all are beautiful, The earrings are very cute and I'm sure they will create quite a stir when I wear them with one of the pins. I had ordered the breast cancer pin for my sister-in-law as a birthday present; she manages a local breast care center. Well, her birtday was today, so I was able to give her the pin right on time. I just wanted to let you know my friend got her pin and is simply thrilled. She said she sat and cried.
